This month we received a laptop from NPO E-parts in Tokyo. E-parts is an NPO donating refurbished computers to help NPOs and their activities.
All of U Café staff are delighted with this significant gift and it’s a great help our work.

Some of us study Japanese at the moment.
Today we reviewed how to make soap from our edible waste oil,
the way we’d taught by Megumi-san 4 months before.
Thank you for teaching us to make it.
At last we put blended liquid into a milk carton.
One week later we’ll get handmade soap.

Món ăn và đồ uống ở U café được chọn lọc cẩn thận từ người nông dân và chợ địa phương đem đến vị đậm đà và tươi ngon cho quý khách. U café là một nơi để các bạn có hoàn cảnh khó khăn có cơ hội thực tập và trau dồi ngoại ngữ để có thể có công việc tốt hơn trong ngành du lịch. Tất cả những gì U café đã đang và sẽ làm với một mong muốn nhỏ là góp phần giúp cộng đồng nhỏ trong khu vực Quảng Nam Đà Nẵng có thể phát triển về mặt kinh tế và tri thức tốt hơn.
BBC Radio 4 will air Le Ly Hayslip and her stories, her post-war paths and humanitarian works. Her autobiography When Heaven and Earth Changed Places, published 25 years ago, was made into the film Heaven and Earth by Oliver Stone who will also be on the programme.

Con Lan with clown
The city is now alive with dancing con Lans & the sound of drums for the full-moon night of eighth lunar month. Con Lan is an animal deity that brings happiness in folk beliefs in Vietnam. Wishing for happiness, people gladly make them offering. I made a small money offering to a con Lan & pray for a large yield of rice of this year. After that day, people start to prepare for rainy season.
